General Rental Information
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving license.
Driving license printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic etc) must be complemented by an International driving license.
Please show a valid ID card or passport at time of pick up!
Special rental information by booking of Prepaid rates
A booking can be changed up to 48 hours before the start of the rental (on availability) in return for an alteration charge of 27.00 USD. Any payment already made towards the rental will not be refunded; nor shall any differential amount be refunded if this alteration leads to a lesser rental cost.

A booking can be cancelled before the rental begins. In the event of cancellation, the payment in advance already made towards the rental shall be paid back subject to a cancellation charge, which will be withheld and shall be in the amount of the rental charge ( including any extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days. In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.
Minimum age in Peru is 21 years.
A Young Driver Surcharge of 29.50 USD per day applies for drivers under 25 years (for car all groups).
A surcharge of 29.50 USD per day applies for drivers above 75 years (for car all groups).

Conditions of Payment
All credit cards from internationally recognized credit card companies - such as American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa - are accepted.
The following credit cards are accepted: Eurocard/Mastercard, AmericanExpress Card, VISA Card, Diners Card.
We do not accept any prepaid cards or debit cards (Visa Electron).
The renter must be the owner of the indicated credit card. The authorised driver details and method of payment will be confirmed at reservation stage and cannot be amended. The confirmed credit card should be valid and available for presentation on collection of the vehicle. All extra costs that occur during the car rental will be charged to this credit card.
By booking a prepaid rate, the credit card will be charged before the start of rental, directly with the estimated total amount of rental. The amount that will be charged on your credit card comprises the price of the rental as well as all additional extra fees.
The rental charge (plus any other charges agreed, e.g. exemptions from liability, delivery charges, airport charges etc.) plus Value Added Tax in the statutory amount applicable from time to time must, as a matter of principle, be paid in full for the agreed rental period, i.e. if the vehicle is collected late or returned early there shall be no refund.
An advance charge approval is obtained for the chosen means of payment as a security.

Please note, that payments with credit card may require the PIN of the credit card.
All the extra charges that may incur on the rental (missing fuel, cleaning detail, deductible, damages and/or traffic tickets), will be charged at the credit card.
Depending on the coverage of protection chosen by the renter to free choice the value of the guarantee varies; generally the greater the protection the lower the required guarantee.
General Protection Conditions
None of the below mentioned protections includes a road assistance service. All transfer costs of any damaged rented vehicle as a result of an accident or driver behaviour have to be assumed by the renter.
Third Party Insurance (TI)
Protection coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a maximum cover of EUR 4,500.- for personal injuries and material damages.

Liability coverage/Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)
If purchased Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) protects you against claims made by a third party for -bodily injury- and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while you are operating a -rental vehicle-.
By taking out SLI the maximum cover is:
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a -rental vehicle-. SLI does not cover all risks. There may be exclusions for unauthorized or intoxicated drivers, no first party uninsured motorist coverage, no coverage for certain passengers in the Vehicle, and other exclusions.
The cost of SLI is 10.00 USD per day.
(Supplemental Liability Insurance = SL)
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
Loss Damage Waiver removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of damage or theft.
LDW and TI are mandatory in Peru.
LDW and TI are included in all prices except the rate for USA.
If the renter declines the LDW proof coverage from an insurance company or a credit card must be provided at the counter. He will be held liable for all damages of the vehicle up to the full value of the car. If no proof of coverage can be provided the renter has to buy the LDW at the counter.
If LDW is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: 1,180.00 USD
The cost of LDW is as follows: USD 8.00 per day.
(Loss Damage Waiver = LD)
Personal Accident Protection (PAP)
By taking out personal accident protection the protection can also be extended to cover the consequences of an accident.
The cost of PAP is as follows: 5.00 USD per day.
By taking out PAP the limit of liability is:
USD 40,000 in case of death or permanent disability,
USD 8,000 for medical costs,
USD 2,000 funeral expenses.

Tire and Glass Coverage (GT)
Tyre and Windscreen Coverage provides cover against the consequences of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and backwindow.
The cost of GT is as follows: 6.00 USD per day.
If GT is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows and backwindow.
If GT is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amounts: 119.00 USD.

Road Side Assistance
The Road Side Assistance covers assistance with tire repairs, refueling of vehicles on the road, loss or misplacing of keys and break downs. Spare parts, fuel and tires themselves are not included.
The cost of Road Side Assistance is as follows: 2.99 USD per day.

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise our current refuelling charge will apply (in addition to a tanking fee of 10,00 USD) will apply.

A Lost Of Key Fee applies depending on the type of the key.

Administration Fee for Fine
All traffic violation during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter and an administrative fee of USD 20.00 plus 6% of the value of the fine will apply.
The renter is liable for payment of all traffic/parking fines occurring during the rental.

In case the car require a special cleaning procedure (i.e. smell removal, animal pollution, spill of liquids etc.) after returning, a minimum charge of USD 59.00 will apply.

Terms of booking on this website
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
